The potato contains about 80% water and 20% solids. Starch is equivalent to 85% of the solids and protein for the rest. Potatoes contain many vitamins, such as niacin, riboflavin, thiamin, vitamin c and contain some minerals, such as calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium and sulphur.
Obesity is not potato caused unless added butter or sauce or sour cream. It is known that baked potato tuber medium weigh 170 to 225 g contains less than 100 calories.
